Webbed. This is both a tribal Spider deck and a theme web deck. Complete with cards like Plated Spider, Pincer Spider, Bequeathal and Magnetic Web, this deck is designed to bring down any flower your opponent should cast. Since this deck was originally built there have been some better spiders. Check it out, rebuild it and have fun.

First Impressions: Eventide - Introduction (Lands).
7/23=5/08 - Welcome to another set of First Impressions! This time around we're looking at Eventide. Now there seems to be a bit of discussion on how bad Eventide is, and how little hope there seems to be with the set. Some are holding out until every last card just to be sure, and some have already packed their stuff and left! Maybe they're making a big deal out of it, we'll find out today!

Eventide is the second set of the Shadowmoor block, and is expanding on the multi-color theme that we saw in Shadowmoor. With new creature types, and odd mechanics, what's to be expected of Eventide?   ~Ryuzaki~ Discuss Here.

X Card Blind on MDV!
7/23/08 - I have a question for you. Do you like playing chess? Do you like to metagame? Perhaps you are just an instant gratification kind of person? If so, then we have a game for you, and it is called X Card Blind. ~Chris Newton~ Discuss Here.

Fit the Flavor 2008: Round 4!
7/21/08 - Here it is… the Fourth and Final Round of the contest. There are a lot of people still alive and in the hunt. How badly do you want to win? You are going to have your chance, as you can score big points here in Round 4. Let’s get the show started! ~Chris Newton~ Discuss Here.

Combo of the Day: Aether Charge - Cavern Harpy.
Cavern Harpy is useful in more than just your infinite Aluren decks... For instance, take Aether Charge for example.  With Cavern Harpy, for each UB you invest in recasting Cavern Harpy only to bounce itself, you deal four damage to an opponent.  That's a pretty efficient use of two mana in my opinion.  While the two cards don't share a color... The Games People Play - Market & EDH.
7/18/08 - For everyone that remembers my previous writings for the site, you’ll remember that I’m a big fan of Limited Magic. So when I saw this format being proposed over at MTG Salvation, I knew I had to write about it. Unfortunately I couldn’t get involved in the actual testing of it, but I hope writing about it brings it some popularity and more people willing to try it out. They call it Market Sealed... ~Lionden_56~ Discuss Here.

Raiding the Dollar Bins: Glint Eastwood.
7/16/08 - We’re back to Nephilim this week, and now we’re going to be looking at the most interesting combat-oriented Nephilim, Glint-Eye Nephilim. It grows by discarding cards, and then draws you a card for each damage it does to your opponent. It’s clear that any deck using this creature is going to have to turn its obvious weakness into a strength.~DBB~ Discuss Here.

Fit the Flavor 2008: Round 3.5!
7/14/08 - Thanks can be offered to the guys who all did really well in round two. Why should you be thanking them? It is because of them (almost half of the players received perfect scores) that I have been forced to sit at the drawing board and figure out how exactly to increase the difficulty level of this competition... ~Chris Newton~ Discuss Here.

Casualties of Standard.
7/11/08 - It may sound a little odd to say, but I'm new to casual Magic. 7/1/08 - You’re surprised, I know it. I promised a few weeks of Nephilim fun for you, and now I’m not doing a Nephilim deck.To be honest, it’s more like postponing the Nephilim decks. So what’s keeping me from writing about Nephilim this week? Mechanics, that’s what and an email from a member of the MDV Forums...~DBB~ Discuss Here.
