 Annoyance.
Description of deck by its author (quoted):
Well, I had a really bad day this weekend, so I though I'd get as
nasty as possible and make the most annoying deck I could think of.
Well, That's my new quest anyway, and thus far it's taken me to two
places: One is an ofshoot of the Time Advantage, and the other (while
still having some time advantage) is mostly a type of Mana denial.
I tried Shimmer and Mana Webs in my first TA decks, and they worked
nicely... But there had to be a way to lock up someone's mana. When I
decided to make my most annoying deck, I had the crazy idea of using all
the "crap" cards... i wanted to make a Psychic Venom deck with Pendrell
Mists, Webs, Power Sinks, etc. The mana denial was the most effective
side. Shimmer and Illusionary Terrain will totally hose even 2 color
decks, and 3 color ones too, if you play it right. For the 5 colors, the
Mana Web will take out anything that can produce that color, so take out
half the land, and the all color stuff will fall quickly as well. In
case you get to a Big Fireball late in the game, Lapse it and cast a
Worb. :) I love doing that. :)
After that... well, actually before, but that's not the point... I
remade another version of a TA deck (with real TA cards like Stunted
growth and the Memories) that was only B/G (although I really should
tinker it back to B/G/U or even make a 4 color black deck since red
doesn;t have many TA cards) but had a lot more creatures than all
previous versions barring MiviWl.
The more creatures do help a bit more and speed the deck enough to not
lock yourself down with TA cards and not provide and adequate beating.
