The Combo's (7 technically)
1. Extractor Demon + Elemental Mastery= mill 10 cards everyturn
2. Thornbite Staff + Deathbringer Thoctar + Elemental Mastery + one +1/+1 counter= Infinite 1/1 haste creatures
the previous combo + extractor demon/Bitter Ordeal= Infinite instant/sorcery speed mill
the previous combo + deathgreeter= Infinite life
the previous combo + Hissing Iguanar= Infinite damage
3. urborg, tomb of yawgmoth+Cabal Coffers= more mana...simple enough
4. damnation + Bitter ordeal= large amount of mill

Other Card Reasons
Snuff Out- "Free" spot removal and helps get that first +1/+1 counter on Thocter, good if combo is already out and just need that +1/+1 counter
Slaughter Pact- "Free" spot removal and helps get that first +1/+1 counter on Thocter, good if combo is already out and just need that +1/+1 counter
Phyrexian Arena- Card draw to draw the cards i need faster
Amok- Get that +1/+1 counter on Thocter a different way then a creature going to the graveyard
Bottled Cloister- More card draw that doesn't cost me life
Volrath's Stronghold- Return the Thocter if it gets killed or any other creature I may need
