Description of deck by its author (quoted):
This deck has obviously a million problems, its biggest one being
getting at least 3 of the key combo pieces together (Vulshok
Battlemaster, Shield of Kaldra and Worldslayer) in a timely matter and
it was obvious you would probably lose before you did. The other problem
is that you probably need Whispersilk Cloak to get through as well.
Cards like Fabricate and Spoils of the Vault were of course added to
help get the combo parts together.
Today this deck is even more awful than
it was originally though to be, with decks possibly winning 3rd turn and
decks playing the indestructible creature king, Darksteel Colossus.
Though this deck never ended up
anywhere near a competitive level, I think the power of Vulshok
Battlemaster should remain ringing for future deck designs, especially
if there is an equipment printed with a huge or costly equip cost. It
also may also prove to be an important tool in getting the Kaldra
equipment together with the printing of the last, the Helm of Kaldra.
But what about Wordslayer's potential?
Destroying everything but itself is still an extremely powerful effect,
but currently there isn't a deck it fits into. Put my brain out on a
limb but perhaps with enough enhancements to the equipment loving White
Weenie this card could be some sort of new Armageddon? Maybe in
combination with a soldier that lets you equip any equipment for
free? |
