Description of deck by its author (quoted):
If you can live to turn three or four you have good shot at doing
some cool things. With Rule of Law on the table Desecration Elemental
makes it a halfway decent card, especially if you can get Nuisance
Engine Tokens going. Another fun trick is to get an Auriok Champion on a
Soul Foundry and a Nuisance Engine going to gain some crazy life. Æther
Vial helps the overall goal of the deck to get creatures into play
without playing spells. And since Desecration Elemental only cost four,
it works really well with Æther Vial and Soul Foundry. Raise the Alarm
and Night's Whisper just really helped fill out the two spot for the
deck and made it play a lot more consistent. And eight Affinity hating
cards in the sideboard are just expected, so why should this deck be any
different?
As far as the sideboard Awe Strike can
be Holy Day if you want to play Standard over Block. And Second Sunrise
was Story Circle before this became block. Other than that the deck is
fairly perfect. As you can imagine whenever you beat someone with a deck
like this you are going to get some interesting comments. I will share
them one at a time in this tournament report. |
