Magic Deck Vortex is a Magic: The Gathering site that is expanding day by day with more features, facets and ideas.  To help Magic Deck Vortex, donations and advertisement sponsors help to support and expand the site.  While I love the site, I do not profit from this endeavor.  I accept donations and money from advertisers to pay for the basic costs of this site.

You want history? Well, Magic Deck Vortex started in October 2002 and has been growing rapidly since then.  Originally, the site started as a way for me to post my decks on the internet through an EXCEL file.  You should have seen it back then.  How things have changed.  I wanted to call the site Magic Vortex... but some other faction had already claimed that title and web address.  At the time, without a car, I had plenty of free time on my hands which I spent putting things together for the site, learning Frontpage and searching the net for other ideas and things to add.  The webmaster of www.magic4you.nu once commented: 

When you started I thought "oh another small personal website, it looks good - I add a link for a week and go look, when its bad, I just remove the link.” But now after a year or so you are still there and even better. Two thumbs up John!

With the support of my brother's established site (www.streetzuite.com) I was able to keep posting and updating the site.  Then things changed and I was forced to find my own server.  This is why I finally had to put something formal together for advertisers so that I could still fund the server costs.  To be honest, I really don't like having advertisements on the site, but it's a necessity of keeping the site around.  If only I were rich... I thank all of the current and past advertisers for advertising on MDV.

Popular Pages on Magic Deck Vortex
There are over 1800 pages on MDV and most of them are DECK PAGES.  With each new set, MDV posts new pages for the Spoiler, Decks and Combos.  For one to two months after the original posting, these pages usually receive the most hits.  Next to that would be the main Deck Database Page, the main COMBO page, the main FEATURES page, and any particular feature for the month.  If you would like more information, please contact me.  I can give you the month's current ranking for each page.  

Basic Website Information
Magic Deck Vortex uses Microsoft FrontPage to make its pages.  www.magicdeckvortex.com is the main address. 

The forums are are vB forums and there is currently no advertising allowed in the forum.

Other information:
Magic Deck Vortex (MDV) does not accept popup ads of any kind.

Payments have to be done upfront.

MDV only accepts deals for at least a month, or a multiple of that.  Yearly advertising is no longer available, as of 2/1/07.  The maximum term for an ad is 3 months.

Payments can be done through Paypal. Other means of payment may be subject to an administration fee.

Offensive material will not be tolerated in advertisements on Magic Deck Vortex. Offensive material includes but is not limited to; sexual content, profanity, hate speech, software piracy, hacking, illegal MP3 or any other illegal activity. If at any time your ad links to or contains anything offensive, the advertising deal will be void and no money will be refunded.

Magic Deck Vortex reserves the right to reject any sponsor at any given time.
