 Introduction to Lorwyn Week.

 Lorwyn
officially hit the shelves last weekend and we here at Magic Deck Vortex are
very excited. Whether you love or hate the tribal scene of Magic: the Gathering,
whether you like or dislike what you have seen and played of Lorwyn thus far,
one thing is for sure. You will love what we have in store for you this week.
There will be more articles, more features, contests,
discussions, polls… MORE CONTENT! And it will all be about Lorwyn. Thus the
little button you see in the upper left hand corner of the main page that says
“Lorwyn Week!” That and I’m sure you noticed the new banner at top of every page
– that’s in lieu of this week’s theme too. (And
it’s a shame you can’t see the entire thing; there’s about 12 pieces of Lorwyn
art scattered throughout the banner – can you find them all?)
You should all be warmed up to this week’s content because
in the last two weeks we had the entire
First Impressions series posted and a
One Card To Rule Them All featuring Doran, the
Siege Tower. If you missed any of that, just click on the hyperlinks

 All
of this week’s content will, of course, be posted on the main page but you can
also find a handy-dandy schedule of events below. The schedule will include the
name, date and category for each item along with a hyperlink for your
convenience. As I mentioned earlier, this week we will have a lot more content
than usual for your review and entertainment. In fact, here’s a little secret
for you:
Originally, we were going to have the Lorwyn Theme Week
last week, right after the release of Lorwyn. However, we had so many things
planned we decided to break up the First Impressions articles and one other
article planned for the week and post them before. Thus the warm up. Some of
you may have caught wind of a little error on my part where one of the earlier
First Impression articles noted “What better time to cover the Lorwyn set than
during Lorwyn Theme Week?” The error is that it wasn’t actually Lorwyn Theme
Week yet and thus I edited it out a day or two after the initial posting. I
hope that didn’t confuse anyone last week.
So anyway… enough of my blabbering. Enjoy this week. Check
out the schedule of events below, which will be updated as the week progresses,
and most importantly, enjoy Lorwyn.
