Armageddon + Blue = Stax!
Posted 01-28-2009 at 01:48 PM by Drathro
Sorry about disappearing without warning for vacation. Next time, you'll know in advance.
To get this thing restarted, I went looking for a top deck I hadn't seen before, and I found what might be better be called "Fusion Stax":
This is mainly a Blue Stax mainboard plus Armageddon, with the option to board into White Stax anti-creature elements. The goal is to keep the opponent from building up resources with cards like Smokestack and Trinisphere. If the opponent manages to drop a big attacker, they risk it getting stolen by Sower of Temptation. If they manage to storm an army of weenies into play, then they have to deal with Propaganda. Either way, the opponent needs to do something soon, because when Armageddon clears all the lands away, you'll probably have a Crucible of Worlds, and they'll have jack squat.
Sounds like fun to me!
