Here's a deck you will soon be hearing a lot more about, since it put three players into the top 8 of the StarCityGames.com $5,000 Standard Open in Nashville this weekend. There were two exact copies of this deck at 1st and 8th, plus a variation splashing White for Path to Exile at 3rd:

Wednesdays are now Random Wednesdays! That means I may or may not post a random thought about pretty much anything I feel like in this sporadically updated blog. Randomly, today's topic is actually relevant to MTG:

I'm messing around with Standard decks and trying different cards. The opposing deck has an active Bloodchief Ascension. I've managed to play my fifth land and have just now managed to draw a second Covenant of Minds, which are utterly spectacular against Bloodchief...

The Street Bazaar of Mr. Streetz is finally up to date. The Haves and Want lists are up to date as of 10/18/09 10:33 AM.

I've updated my lists with all available (worthy) FOILS I have on stock as well as a few cards from the beginning of Magic.

Also, know I've closed down my shops on MTGS and MagicTraders for the time being. It was too confusing having three different shops across the net.

Thus, only MDVers have access to my stock. I may reopen...

So earlier this week I finally fixed several issues in the forum. Not all of them, mind you. But several. For instance, the user profile pages have been all screwy since I made an update earlier in the year. They weren't showing the latest posts, or the contact information, etc. etc.

Now that it is fixed you have all sorts of options. You can befriend people like on Facebook or MySpace, you can message people back and forth on their psuedo wall.
