Note: Please use Deck tags in the future. They help on so many levels. -1 for changing the name of the deck. The deck overall could use some cohesive-ness. I'm having trouble applying "How Deep is the Ocean" to this decklist as well.

Tribal Merfolk don't screen "How Deep is the Ocean?" to me. That and you changed the name of the deck (-1). The build seems ok to me.
U * TRIBAL * Merfolk [CONTROL]
* 20 * zupaman * How Deep Is The Ocean?(Cephalid Imperial Army) *
0 * 0 * 0 * -1 * 7.5 * 7.5 * 6
You gave me two deck names. Of two deck names provided, I thought "Cephalid Imperial Army" was much more fitting. It looks like a very fun casual decklist. I would have added about four more lands, removed Quest for Ancient Secrets and Think Tank, and added more Propaganda or Boomerang. That's just me. Thanks for the entry and for visiting the site!
U * TRIBAL * Cephalid - Llawan, Cephalid Empress / Alter Reality - Lifeline

Why is everyone changing the name of the deck?! (-1) Interesting perspective, cool combo.

Adding to the deck name is looked down upon (-1). However, with Inkwell Leviathan, Chronozoa and Rootwater Diver in the deck, the deck name seems to fit. So now we are looking at the contents of the deck, and overall, it seems to be lacking a bit. Cauldron is nice with several cards including Chronozoa, Killer Whale and Chisei. To see Conch Horn in a decklist makes me smile.
U * COMBO * Chronozoa - Cauldron of Souls

0 * 0 * 0 * -1 * 7.8 * 7.4 * 7
(-1) for changing the name of the deck. The original deck name fits since you are centering your deck around some big creatures from the depth of the ocean and combing them with Lifeline and Altar of Dementia, an evil MILL combo.
UG * MILL * Altar of Demetia / Lifeline - Krakens and Leviathans!
* 21.5 * KlassyReborn * Lurking from the Depths of the Ocean *
0 * 0 * 0 * -1 * 7.5 * 8 * 7
(-1) for changing the deck name… Simple deck, fun card choices, overall not a bad deck. Curious about Dreadship Reef though… there's no black in the deck list?
U * COMBO * Braids, Conjurer Adept / Paradox Haze - Krakens!
* 22 * Goldenboy * How Deep Is The Ocean? (Deep Enough To Drown In) *
0 * 0 * 0 * -1 * 8 * 8 * 7
Adding to the name of the deck can be detrimental. Currently your deck is heavily centered around Drowner of Secrets and Mill in general, and your theme is more around drowning than around the depth of the ocean. Because you added to the name of the deck, -1 to flavor. Now onto the deck. The deck is well built as far as I can tell from the casual perspective. I like the mill in the deck, and it all ties well together. Dark Depths helps to solidify the deck name a bit, the original one that is.
U * MILL * Drowner of Secrets - Sanity Grinding [TRIBAL-Merfolk]
* 22 * Your Worst Nightmare * How Deep Is The Ocean? *
0 * 0 * 0 * 0 * 7.5 * 7.5 * 7
Fun Morph Theme deck with a lockdown combo… but I'm failing to see how the deck name related. If you are just referring to the flavortexdt of Brine, I don't get it.

I like the interaction of Homarid Spawning Bed and Keiga, am confused about Sea's Claim's interaction with the rest of the cards in the deck, and am having trouble classifying the deck. It's sort of control, and sort of Ocean theme. As far as really hitting home to "How Deep Is The Ocean?"... I'm just not sure. It has the Ocean theme, but it doesn't really scream, How Deep Is It with the card choices.

There are some fun things going on this decklist. I like that you splashed Green just for Azusa, Lost but Seeking and specifically how that really helps several cards in the deck including High Tide, Flow of Ideas and Tidewalker. More over it allows you to cast the extremely difficult to deal with Inkwell Leviathan. That right there is your "How Deep is the Ocean?" title. However, there are a few card choices that are unsupported or questionable. First off is Flooded Shoreline could have used a few more "comes into play" creatures in the deck that it could have abused, especially since you can play extra lands with Azusa. Wand of the Elements sort of works against your decklist because you are trying to keep as many islands on the board as possible to work for your other cards. But the Wand just kills them off for some flying creature tokens. While that might push you into the winning zone, it's working against the overall deck. Also, Hondens are really only good if you can support more than one of them in play. Without other Shrines or Mirror Gallery you should only have one in the deck. Mulldrifter would have better a much better utility creature for the deck. But then again, you have Flow of Ideas to draw you all the cards you'll ever need. Overall fun deck, but could use some tuning to be a better deck in the end. GREAT use of Tidewalker. Lastly, Ensnare is great in this deck, but you should have something to Untap your winning creature like the Leviathan or Tidewalker. Or something to grant them Haste so you can Ensnare and then attack them for the win.

Cool deck overall. -1 for adding to the name of the deck. Based on your intro to the deck description, the name of the deck fits. Fun combo deck.

Overall I thought this was a fun SCS deck around Chisei, Heart of Oceans. I like the inclusion of Mystic Remora, Stack, Jitte and all of the persist creatures. However, I don't think this deck deserves the name of it. It could be "How Heart is the Ocean?" or something similar, but this SCS doesn't really give me the feeling of, "How Deep is the Ocean?"

This seams like a straight-forward deck with some blue weenie-fish combining with some island turner-into-er cards to make for a semi-unstoppable army. Sunken City definitely helps with the "How Deep Is the Ocean?" title. So does Streambed Aquitects and Will.
U * WEENIE * Dandan, Tidal Warrior, DreamWinder

Definitely a fun casual flying blue deck. Loaded with blue flyers and ways to tap down nonflyers, I would build this deck for sure. I love the inclusion of some of the new Zenidkar cards like the Scope, Wayfinder, Eel, Tsunai and Gomazoa. However, I don't think this deck's name should be How Deep is the Ocean? How high is the Ocean seems more appropriate. Deep is the oppisite of flying in my opinion.
U * BEATDOWN * Eels, Squid and various other creatures that fly!

"Seriously?!" was my thought as I started reading your introduction for the deck. "You aren't seriously making a theme deck around SpongeBob??!!" I'd probably apprecaite this deck a little more if I'd ever watched a full episode of SpongeBob… but I haven't. Sorry, George G. And UN cards ARE allowed. *grin* Unfortunately, Sponges aren't found at the furthest depths of the ocean... But your deck did get several laughts out of me.

This is a fun approach to the name of the deck based solely on your deck description. I like it overall. No negative or positive feedback for it at the moment.

There's Devouring Deep! And Research the Deep! And Thing from the Deep! And Deep-Sea Kraken! We've already seen, Dark Depths (MVP for the contest?) Anyway, this deck seems well suited for the name thus far. You have some dwellers from the top of the sea to the middle and all the way down to the bottom. That's how deep the ocean is! Quicksliver Dagger is nice but maybe unnecesarry a bit. Still, it's fun to see in a deck like this. Quicksilver Amulet is also an interesting but possibly needed choice for some of the higher costed creatures in the deck. Overall, good job. I would have liked to see a little more cohesiveness, but it is what it is. Seafloor Debris is also a creative choice. Why Lord of Atlantis? He doesn't affect anything else in the deck?

64 cards! (-1) Overall I like the concept of the deck, especially as I'm partial to Land Destructions decks with this kind of unique perspective. Card Choices are questionable as I would have chosen a more versatile color changer than Magical Hack. Still, it does the job. Also, if you have 4 Expedition Maps, you only need one, max two, Urborg cards in the deck. Flavorfully, I like you find exactly how deep the ocean is by boiling it all away. Good job on the flavor. (+2) I appreciate the concise yet detailed enough description.

No Legends! (-2). Despite having an ANTI-Blue deck / Beatdown / Combo Deck without a single blue card, the way you describe your deck makes sense for the name. I like the flavor of a bunch of cards all out to get to the bottom of the ocean to destroy the monster(s) underneathe them. (+2) It's also fun seeing Seedtime, Fountain and Choke all in the same deck.

Wow. At first this deck looked like a pile of "Huh?" and inconsistency. It wasn't until I read your description that all of the pieces started coming together. This, thus far, is one of the tightest theme decks submitted and welol described. I'm not knowledgable of the Mythos, but I did read a little Wiki on the subject and it appears your description is spot on. Good job with the Theme! Fits the name of the deck in my opinion! One complaint -- too many Aether Snap. It only works with one other card in the deck and thus you could have done with just two or three of them. Dire Undercurrents will get you the cards to draw to find it sooner than later. I do like how it has a MILL theme to it as well.

"2. He can protect Galiana, and has eyes/gills for no one else." is good stuff right there. Thanks for taking the actual context to heart when building your deck. I was amused by your intro and am currently reading through your description. Card intereactions tie in well with the love theme of the deck and I adore the Legerdemain Combo with your two legendary love birds. Good job on the deck overall. Well described.
WUG * THEME * Merfolks in Love (aka How Deep is the Ocean)
Thank you to everyone that participated in the contest. Thank you as well to everyone for your patience. Post your comments and concerns in this thread. The prize will be announced shortly. It will most likely be a playset of one or two of the cards in the winning deck.
What did everyone like or dislike about this contest or my scoring?
Note: Extra flavorful decks received a bonus. People that didn't read the rules lost points. For instance, if you used anything other than the deck name as your deck name, you lost a point. Only entries that were posted or edited after the deadline were disqualified.
