Re: Warhammer 40K
Let's see - I played 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th edition rules then haven't had a consistent group to do so. That and I feel the latest incarnation has become a Munchkin game (No offense intended) and plays more to the "Bigger is Better" crowd.
I used to field a Catachan Imperial Army, had a small Blood Angels company and even tried out Eldar for a while - used to play against a lot of Chaos and Tyranid players back in the day but like I say, not so much these days. Nowadays I get my 40K fix from Dawn of War 1; Tau FTW! Besides, I'm more of a fantasy guy - Bloodbowl, Man o' War (Cookies to anyone who owns this game), Epic (Original, none of this 40k crud), War Hammer Fantasy are all golden in my book. Having said that, if they re-release Space Hulk I will gladly sell a kidney to own a copy (Or some of my card-collection, whatever works).

Re: Warhammer 40K
LOL right now i just jimmy rig some fast rules (based of brikwars) and use my 3-3/4 action figure collection for some epic battles.
Nothing like spider-man teaming with Obi-wan kenobi to take down Cobra comander and Darth vader

Re: Warhammer 40K
Blood for the Blood God!! I haven't played since 3rd edition of game. I have seen some reviews for the current edition (5th) and it does look tempting to get back into it.

Re: Warhammer 40K
1. Game is sweet, 5th rocks, new codices have a bit of creep but are on the whole balanced, unique, diverse, and fun to play.
2. Assault on Black Reach. Seriously. Two of those and one or two other things, get someone else to split the race you don't like, and you're looking at $110 for a 1000 pt army no sweat that isn't half bad. With some careful conversion work and eBay, you can easily get the majority of your force from there without doing anything else. 3. Currently assembling (wait for it) a Word Bearers army, all Anointed. Using Space Wolves rules (thanks Logan Grimnar!) and AOBR conversions. $200 for a 2000 point army with some drop pods. Someday the Chaos Legions will actually get a real codex, but until then, this will be awesome.

Re: Warhammer 40K
lol oh yeah, so OP.
THIS JUST IN: other than Lashspam, there is nothing viable at top-tier Chaos. IG is going to tear you a new one via Vendettas (that you can't do crap about). Loyalists are going to enjoy the sheer mobility of drop-pods and dreds that don't shoot your own guys to stomp all over you. Space Yiffs are better in CC than you are, more mobile than you are, and have better psykers to boot. Seriously, there are two units Chaos has that everyone cringe over, and one decent troop choice. That's it. It's pathetic and I cannot wait for an actual codex.

Re: Warhammer 40K
If i had the budget, i would oh-so-much build a lovely Tau army. Got a heavy crush on them thanks to Dawn of War 1... They're simply broken, in that game, if you learn to play them
