Hello MDV

Hello to MDV from Brandon. I've been playing the game for over 10 years now. I actually found the MDV site last year, and didn't find the MDV forum till last week. I've loved the MDV site since i came accross it. Some of my greatest decks have come from base decks found here at MDV.

Me and a small group of friends get together and play on the weekends. It's usually MFFA sometimes 2 Headed giant. I rarely get a chance to play one on one.

I recently completed my Cthino's Wizard's deck. I can't wait to lockdown!!

I enjoy playing all colors. My favorite would be Blue. I have yet to build a 5 color deck. Best combination of colors for me is Black and Blue. My favorite deck is my Elf deck. It seems to be few and far between when I don't win a game with it.

I look forward to discussing strategy and the game overall with all of you.

Re: Hello MDV

Welcome to the forum loco-b! I'd be curious which decks you used as Base decks for your deck collection.

Re: Hello MDV

I actually just finished my Cthino's Wizards deck. I took it card for card from the MDV database. I had a few idea's to change it up a little but I havent got a chance to play it yet. I have a feeling my group will hate me.

I also took a fluctuator deck from the DB card for card, but I've never actually won with it yet. Unfortunately its flawed. It has to many Forest/Swamp Cycling cards, Land you dont need. Plus its a dual win condition with Mortal Combat and Living Death. Need to take away one of the win condition cards and replace the others with a straight Cycle costs.

I posted one of my originals already. You can take a look at it here: http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/forum...550#post313550

We play a lot with Scrye Mag Avatar cards so I used the idea of Larger starting hand size as a Handicap against opponents. Still in the works though. Called it Eddie Lives for those of you who are Iron Maiden fans....

Welcome, welcome. What kept you from finding the forums? And what helped you find them?

DEAL WITH IT.

I'm getting very sick of, every time we see a cool creature - or any card - so many people just go "But it dies to (random kill card X). Yes, there are answers to it. But you know what? There are answers to those answers. That's the beauty of the game. Look at a card based on its own merits, don't just think "Terror, next" or "Naturalize, next" or "Cancel, next". Cause if you think that way, then every card sucks. The game sucks. Even those answers you just listed SUCK.

GET OVER IT.

That is all.

Re: Hello MDV

Nothing really kept me from finding the forums. I've been a trolling forums for a couple years now. I just never found time to get myself into a Magic The Gathering forum. It's always been about cars and technology.

The large sub-directory labeled "Forum" should have been a glaring sign that I was missing an entire chunk of what the site had to offer.

So I was totally intruiged by this 2,3,4 card blind thing. But it looks like it hasn't been done in a couple of months. Anyone willing to start another one up?

Re: Hello MDV

I'd be willing to play, if someone wanted to organize it.
