MBC...I mean, MRC [MFFA]

I liked my black deck so much, and hated the elf/sliver/saproling/more elf tide that my group had been swept away by a while ago, that I made this nonsense.

Clear the board. And again. Once more, with feeling! Also some big uglies come to play, it's fun times. Spot removal against combo pieces or vulnerable faces.

Somehow it ballooned out, I think I thought I lost some cards in it and replaced them only to find they were not lost at all, and just ended up keeping all of it. Thus the bizarre size.

Why did you cut Ashling and Demigod in favor of War Elemental? And why no Earthquake (besides possible availability issues)?

I'm getting very sick of, every time we see a cool creature - or any card, so many people just go "But it dies to (random kill card X). Yes, there are answers to it. But you know what? There are answers to those answers. That's the beauty of the game. Look at a card based on its own merits, don't just think "Terror, next" or "Naturalize, next" or "Cancel, next". Cause if you think that way, then every card sucks. The game sucks. Even those answers you just listed SUCK.

GET OVER IT.

I remember reading about some timing trick involving War Elemental when it comes into play. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Did it have something to do with Pandemonium?

1. Ashling died too often. Seriously. I never once got her useful ability off. Though having played with the Elemental I'm debating cutting it for her simply because trying to damage and then get its ability going is kicking my rear something fierce. The few times it has worked, let's be clear, that thing was a beast on crack to the tune of 18/18 inside a turn.

2. I have 8 Earthquakes, actually. The major issue is that non-flier bit, which is why I brought the Pyroclasms back in. We had a minor run of fairies and sprites there, and it was hurting me something fierce.

3. Looking to cut the Fireheart for another Spitemare, since those things have been absolutely amazing in every single game so far and I want moar. Weirdly enough, the Magus has been kinda useless except against one artifact-land-heavy deck. So I may end up axing him as well.

Update version. Now that I pulled my old green deck apart, I'm trying the Matrix out in here, since it doesn't hurt me and shuts down a stunningly vast amount of annoying things. The Quest has done nicely in playtesting and I look forward to a baptism of fire tomorrow - just the thought of a Liege and Bolt hitting for 12 makes me excited. Heck, even just a turn of double Pyrohemia would be wonderful, especially since I can activate it a few times to fulfill the Quest.

Alright. Here's where we stand now. I'm comfortable with this version. The Point is just lovely, and with the Quests even if they take damage it helps - or lategame I can turn that into "wrath or take 12", and with a liege, "take 6, then wrath or take 12".
