I would say that's the point of Mindslaver.

What Arix means is that Mindslaver allows you to to force the controlled player to choose to set their life to zero. You make all their decisions for the turn.

That's why there is mindslaver. If you control their turn you can okay the may effect.

How about Devout Lightcaster + Rite of Replication (kicked)? But it's more a synergy, though...

Re: [ZENDIKAR COMBO THREAD] Post your combos here.

First of all, don't triple post. The edit button is there for a reason.

Second, Mad Mat's combo consists basically in using Sorin Markov's ultimate to control your opponent's next turn. When you're in control of the player's turn, cast Lethal Vapors (thanks to Vernal Equinox), and make the player activate Lethal Vapors's ability a billion times, thus skipping his next billion turns. (The Vernal Equinox is needed because your opponent can use up Lethal Vapors during your turn after you cast, meaning it won't be there during the opponent's turn when the Mindslaver-like effect is in place.)

And to make card tags, simply write [*card]Rancor[*/card], minus the *s, and it should appear like this: Rancor.

(Eternity Vessel + Doubling Season) + (Gilder Bairn + Curse of Chains)

Eternity Vessel will enter play with 2X counters on it, thanks to Doubling Season. The Gilder Bairn + Chains combo will double those counters each turn.

2x + 2^y = Exponential life gain!

I need to tell my maths teacher this combo and its formula. He also plays Magic too, but not since Legends.

Beg to differ, but the formula is:

L(y) = (6x)(3^y-1)

where L is current life, x is original life, and y is number of turns having doubled with Bairn.
This calculation takes into account the Doubling season in play at all times and the Bairn being used the turn when the Vessel comes into play.

I woke up at 3am, read that, and worked it out on notepad.
Without looking over it, it could be the formula for 7up.

A simplified version of this would be L=(2x)(3^y)

Beastmaster Ascension + Rude Awakening

You just need the acension in play, have enough land to play rude awakening with the entwine. Your 8 lands become 2/2's that instantly turn on the ascension when they attack for a whopping 56 points out of no where.

World Queller + Nissa Revane(or any other token generator)

With these two in play, you should always win creature attrition wars. It makes world queller very one sided that can soft lock some opponets. Add it Magma Pheonix to get a repeatable boardwiper.
