Tribal Coffee? You and Luther really do want to make Ryu drink coffee a lot don't you?

"Stop it!"

Wait, Streetz is discouraging infinite combos? Never thought I'd see the day...

I would like to see this as an article-series. Talk about three different smaller tribes, than open up the third with a deck-list challenge like this one. It would be great with Lorwyn and Shadowmoor being around this time.

This challenge will be great motivation for me. Well, here we are!

Construct of Nature
Lands: 21
4 Vesuva
4 Cloudpost
13 Snow-covered Forest

Creatures: 24
4 Metal Worker
4 Tetravus
4 Triskelavus
4 Pentravus
4 Triskelion
4 Fungal Behemoth
Other Spells: 15
4 Energy Chamber
4 Into the North
4 Rampant Growth
3 Doubling Season

This deck incorporates Nature's style of efficient construct[ion]. Nature will gather lots of energy [chambers], and continuously supply the [metal]workers steam. All this steam incorporates into whatever Vus you desire. Triskelavus? Pentravus? Tetravus? Sure! With nature, you can even double[ing season] your work-load! The cloud[post]s even incorporate extra-energy for you!

Fungal Behemoth finds his way in here, because he's really like a construct...metaphorically speaking. He gives you more energy, and when he finally is finished being construct[ed] (Can't help myself.) He will be massive, and go ramp[ant] on your opponet into the [snow-covered] forest floor! Nature really can work just as hard if not harder than a machine! Rawr!

Gah... he beat me again... (3 Minutes!!)

Oooh... this looks like it will be interesting..

Edited:

Another great piece from the Streetz. I must admit, I've seen the assassin decks, I've toyed around with constructs, but you are the FIRST person I've ever seen build a squid deck! I really want to throw that list in MWS just to see how it does.

I'm curious as to why you used the mageswright stone over the elixir. I can understand that it needs to be played a turn later, but the benefit is that you get to use all your abilities a turn earlier. I personally think I would take the trade off.

I'll work on my construct list and have it up shortly.

While Ryuzaki chose to see the natural process of machines, I want to look at the mechanical aspect. I started with a deck that others run and I played myself due to it containing some of my favorite Time Spiral cards and stretched it into a fun deck for the constructs - I present a very loose interpretation of Mishra-site (with a non $500 land base).

Mishra-Truct Madness
Lands (24)
4 Grand Coliseum
4 Island
4 Mountain
4 Terramorphic Expanse
3 Swamp
3 Shimmering Grotto
1 Academy Ruins
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

Creatures (23)
4 Epochrasite
4 Mishra, Artificer Prodigy
4 Solemn Simulacrum
3 Serrated Biskelion
3 Shadowmage Infiltrator
3 Triskelion
2 Triskelavus
Spells (13)
4 Prismatic Lens
3 Mind Stone
3 Terminate
3 Void

It's a Mishra vehicle that uses artifact control and acceleration to dominate the field. Mishra makes every card a veritable Gemini Engine by bringing in two at a time. Natural card advantage is augmented by Solemn's and Shadowmages producing multiple cards each when used properly. It's a veritable machinated smash fest - hence the name play on Monster Truck Madness.

nice article! I hope to see some more of these!

Just want to add that moonglove changeling can be a good addition to your assassin deck (i like assassin deck! with revenant and mortivore as win condition, its real fun).

ill see if i can make a deck soon!

Nice! A tribal serie column.

But I seriously hope that you will not talk about elves ever. I have seen enough of it... plllleeeeeaaaassssseeee. They all work the same boring way. Next! Ok I admit I won my last draft with Elves, but still a part of my brain was telling me to go light some fire outside with all of the elf card in my deck

That's my comment

I like the article, a lot. I hope it will keep this style for the following ones.

Nice arcticle Streetz

I loved the squid deck, lol, the assassin's doesn't seem to be able to win by itself, maybe jim's right about mortivore and revenant... still, it wouldn't make much sense to include creatures that feast on graveyards when you'll be wiping it clean, perhaps guiltfeeder would be a nice choice. But I understand you're going into the all tribal thing, and I've tried hard to make an all assassin deck, but failed...

Oh, and contructs ROCK!

Why don't you tackle minions on your next arcticle? They're always fun, specially Minion of the Wastes

It could take me a while to review and decide on all of the entries.
