Deck Database Updates // Official Discussion Thread

This thread is reserved for discussing the deck database updates that occur on the main site. Have a problem with the way a deck was categorized? See an error or have a suggestion on how to make things better? Want to talk about a specific deck or how a new deck is too similar to a deck already in the database?

Post it here! Thanks!

NOTE: Staff may need to double or triple post in this thread to provide updates.

Yay for my first ever DBM!

Surprised at 2 things: 1) The deck was categorized as control (when I thought it was combo) (2) Wrath of God was one of the highlighted key cards.

Really should post my "other" deck soon.....

While there are some combo elements to your deck, Oblivion, there are more control elementals in the form of Remand, Disperse, Faith's Fetters and Wrath of God.

Dragon Arch, the centerpiece of the deck in my opinion, is not a combo per se as it does what it does naturally.

If I were to mark the deck as a combo deck I would include Escape Routes with Dragon Arch and Court Hussar.

Hopefully that makes sense.

I know this question has been answered before, but what does the deck rating signify? Because of the four decks I have in the database, the one that performs the best is the one with the lowest rating.

Who rates the decks and applies the number? I do. I do a quick review of the deck in combination with the performance of the deck if applicable to generate the number. I will admit that I may be way off in some decks, but the number is a pretty good reference point if you are looking for a really good or bad deck. Not too many decks are below one or above four.

That's for the next update. It was either wait another month for this update and grab the other DBM decks or post what I had today.

You are a funny guy. And probably very right. Although, I hope not. I would like to do the updates once a month, but this last 3 month stretch has been overwhelming to say the least. I can't even get the combo pages out.
