Hahahaha !!
Finally I DO understand !!
Thanks a lot

Previous discussions and readings about the mana curve haven't taught me a lot, however, I found this truly interesting:
Quote:
Note that additional spells, like burn spells, aren’t counted in this part of the curve.”

“Why is that?” asked Aladdin.

“The reason is that you only want to count spells that you actually plan to play on the turn in question. For example, if I have four one-mana creatures and four Shock spells, I’m probably not that interested in playing Shock on turn one. I’d probably rather save it for a later turn when I can gain a tempo advantage by removing one of my opponent’s creatures.
I'll need some time to fully assess the implications of that logic and put it into practice but I'll hope for the best results

I guess Shock is so good only because it has very little requirements: you can almost play it whenever you want, without affecting your mana curve - understood as the cost distribution of the spells you really want to play to establish your game plan.
Is that right, Sam?

It's possible, but Amadeus, the author, hasn't logged onto MDV in about five months, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Yeah, pretty good one

Sad to hear he isn't exactly active, anymore... Hope he returns, and keeps going. I found the articles are often also very helpful for theory behind building a LIMITED deck, although he usually talks about constructed. A lot he says is true for Limited, as well, and often even more important, there...
