I highly enjoyed the article.

I think Market Sealed is a very interesting concept, and I would like to try it sometime.

And I also liked the explination of EDH, because I didn't know much about it until I read this article.

just a correction to the explination of EDH:

If a General would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, it's owner may remove it from the game instead. (This is a replacement effect.. the creature never goes to the graveyard and will not trigger abilities on going to the graveyard)

that's the official ruling on that.

just curious if anyone knows, but i built my first edh deck not long ago and am using izzet chronarch as my general. do i need to swap him for a legendary creature, or can your general be any creature you want?

otherwise, excellent article, personally i'm sold on the highlander format. being a casual player it presents a real challenge and also gives us johnny's a whole lot of creative ways to kill people. good job.

occurring to the official rules...it HAS to be legendary...but if its casual, and your opponent agrees...i dont see why not

and as for the market sealed...we COULD do it here....it'd be some work, but i dont mind helping out ^_^

Market sealed was the original idea I had for the tournament we're trying to get started over in Magic general (I had this written before that conversation got started)

How would the trading and such take place in a Market Sealed MDV tournament?

market sealed trading online is kinda like the trade threads here...each person puts up a haves list, and people make offers between lists....then people remove the cards...or keep them up for trade.

and btw...in a haves list, you dont have to post all the cards in your pool

I'd definitely be up for a MDV Market Sealed if we ever did one. It sounds like a blast.

I noticed MTGS just put together a separate forum for the trade lists and titled it Market Sealed. We could do the same, but you would need to coordinate with DBB and LD_56 to make the subforum. I've been overwhelmed of late.
