Why do I always want to buy cards after reading your articles, Streetz ?
![]() Anyways, I really like that series of yours. I especially liked the "Some of the uncommons/commons that didn't make the cut include" parts. It's a really good idea to include ![]() Heck! I haven't checked all of them but Astral Slide, Temple of the False God, Whipcorder, White Knight, Wing Shards, Twisted Abomination, Goblin War Strike are really useful cards. Plenty of decks would want them

I was most surprised about the value of Heedless One. I didn't know anybody (else) used it at all... I only use one in my Elf-Staff deck, as a sort-of fifth Timberwatch Elf.

Aladdin - You always want to buy cards after reading my articles because there are subliminal messages within my writing that tell you do.
![]() Seriously though, thank you for the comment. The additional cards that didn't make the cut was new this time around and I think I'm going to keep doing it. Thank you for the feedback. Drathro - Me too. I was a bit surprised about the value of the card too. However, having a huge trampling elf has some value to many casual Elf lovers. Thank you all for the comments.

Re: Words from the Streetz: Uncommon and Common Magical Treasures - Part 5 - by Stree
Another solid article from the Streetz
![]() I loved Onslaught block. I love Smother (of a note, on of the best common cards EVER printed - Wild Mongrel) dies like a fly against Smother). Still can't find Brain Freeze around here though (I once bought an entire box of Scourge and got only ONE Freeze. Bleh) The Warchiefs were a hit almost from the get-go. The least popular one was the Beast-ie Boy, but only because in a meta dominated by fast, annoying decks, it wasn't so feasable to build something around lumbering hulks. There is one beast, though, that didn't get any mention (but I feel it should): Thoughtbound Primoc. A cheaply-costed RED FLIER with good stats that had a peculiar drawback. Not many people play Wizards in casual environments so this guy was one of my favourites back in the day. I could go on all day about Onslaught block and the fun times we had (what ever happened to Cabal Archon, Gempalm Polluter Shepard of Rot, but I must be off. A great read, this one was more for the memories rather than the information is contained (which was abundant in any case) Keep it coming boss-man! |

Thanks, Oblivion.
I would encourage you to write up an article in reply to mine. That would make me very happy.
