Hooray for Hammy! Fantastic article, especially the stressing of tutors having different values in casual games. More please!

Smashing article that was fun to read (I actually laughed a few times)
Back in Rav days, Transmute was like TEH BOMBZORS in my area. Guys actually splashed black in their control decks to spam the ability. Unfortunately, its sorcery-speed is quite cumbersome. Did I miss it or was Beseech the Queen not given a look-in? |

nice article. I dont play with tutor often, personnally, except harbingers. I build a EDH deck with elvish harb. and its quite cool to fetch taurean mauler with it. The other cool harbinger trick i like is in my giants deck with impromptu raid. With enough mana (or a grinning ignus) you can ''harbing'' your favorite giant and play it until EOT with the enchantment. I like transmute but I only play tolaria west to get urborg, tomb of yawgmoth in my wizard U/B deck and abuse corrupt and tendrils of corruption.

Nice article. I've always loved the old school tutors (Demonic, Vampiric, and the mirage tutors.)

Cheers Hammie!
Hey, here's an idea (hope I'm not going off-topic) for another article: pick a game-defining archtype or card and talk about casual ways to completely nerf that build/tech. Doesn't sound easy to me so it'll be a challenge for you I think. |

Nice article.
I like how you mention transmute and how it can be abused in the right deck. I do occasionally play Diabolic Tutor myself and am totally enthralled with Gifts Ungiven, which might be a reasonably expensive rare, but is soooooooooo good. The wishes are also great "tutors" and while i only have the Living and Glittering one, they're great for toolbox decks and also for consistency. A good way of pseudo-tutoring is using Sensei's Divining Top with many shuffle effects, like you get with Terramorphic Expanse and Sakura-Tribe Elder. All in all, tutors can be very great when handled properly. |

thank you barachem. *places badge of honor on chest*
in writing this article i now realize how much there is still to write about. gifts is the bomb, and i didn't even touch land search. you guys are getting my brain moving again. personally, i own a couple tops and run them in four different decks.
