Honestly said, the whole concept of Texens and their very limited potential usage only raises desinterest in me.
Just being very honest and blunt here. |

I'd like to see the texens become worth something more than just bragging rights for being the one with the most.
Like maybe there should be a texen based shop in the Tournament section, where you could buy things. What things? I got no idea. Bye's for the tournaments seems too easy to abuse unless they are priced extremely high. (and can't be used in final matches of the tournament.) Like i said, I don't know what items should be available in the shop, but If I think of something I'll post it here. |

I think Texens are a necessary addition to a tournament. As said you don't need to bother with them, but I think the option should be open.
I completly agree with Scion, some shop for texens should be implemented. Maybe the stuff you buy expires when all the texens reset? Or have some things that are permanent, that cost a lot of texens? A good many ways to go about it. I think I might get into this after I get myself stabilized over-seas. I would need to get a lot of decks made before-hand, but I think I might, we'll see. Definitely a good idea though.

Re: MDV League: Texen Hold'em Circuit. - by Chris Newton
Some forums that I used to be with (long before MDV) used a post-count money shop for thing like Different Colored Names (other than Red for Obvious reasons here) and maybe the ability to change certain limitations for those who decided to be in.
Of course it would take a lot of coding and forethought to implement it on this forum - but I doubt the impossibility. I mean it's possible to play MTG without the concept of Texens - but then your back to the DCI system and Swiss rounds - where Texens give a few improvements over the DCI system and Swiss rounds is that you can bet your confidence level on the game (before each Game I assume) and play it out. Also your not limited to just Swiss rounds so you can do Double Elim - Sing Elim - League - etc. [for those needed explanation of those terms needs to play more MTG with Scion and Tynion]
