Wow! Great article. I would have liked to have some more suggestions about playing the deck in duel mode, though. I don't usually play green, but paired with black it looks fun.

thanks pickles. my biggest duel tip is to side in something like putrid imp.
birds of paradise or some llanowar elves can help too. reduce the number of cip tapped lands and add mana accel is really all you need to do. i am quickly finding that gift of the gargantuan is a wonderful card as well...

This article got my Johnny deckbuilder sense tingling again. Just in time, I got some deckbuilding to do.

i actually played this last night and killed three out of four opponents before being swarmed by an unchecked mob of scarecrows. deity of scars is simply ridiculous. noone wants to block him, and even if they do he just comes back bigger. the deck plays like an aggro/control mix. its definitely fun. you are attacking every turn, and at the same time keeping your mana open to respond and sitting on your forests until you absolutely need to sac them.
