I'm kinda surprised by the good grade on Archmage Ascension. Especially given how many of the players here hate it.

Felt a little light especially coming off Potato's excellent Black review.
Gomazoa - Is the bee's knees. Hedron Crab - You could have written an epic poem about the little crab and his cute hedron. He's no A+ card though, unless of course you're talking about him in terms of awesomeness and not playability. Sky Ruin Drake - is more than Limited filler. It is a limited force. One of the few fliers that can actually convert to defense.

Funny enough, I still haven't seen anyone build a landfall deck that takes advantage of Living Tsunami.
I can't really think of a deckbuild in which Cosi's Trickster would shine. Anyone wanna take a whack at it? |

Try it in a Sadistic Sacrament+Panoptic Mirror deck. Throw in a Psychogenic Probe and Cosi's Trickster, You'll be laughing while your opponent is confused.
Throw in your favorite card where Sacrament is at if you like, as anything that causes your opponent to shuffle is good.

Hedron Crab is most definitely an A+, oh yes!
I would liked to have seen that epic poem Cashew suggested, though.I think you overrated Ior Ruin Expedition. To be fair though, I've never actually used to card, so I'm just basing this particular opinion on theorycraft. I just feel that for just one more mana, I can get those two cards immediately instead of having to wait. And later in the game when you have some mana to spare, Divination is going to be much better than needing to rely on lands to draw those two extra cards. Roil elemental, while powerful, is also very fragile for its cost. I think that in terms of playability, I'd only give it a B, at best. |

Another two cents worth of replies/opinions:
I like this review for MDV, because it is more casual-oriented, which fits right into MDV's philosophy. Where else will you find a review of Hedron Crab at A+, which, in causal circles, it richly deserves! I don't understand the "bad Mario flashback"... I'm not a fan of Allies yet (maybe after the next set brings us a few more Allies), so I think a "B" is a little generous for Seascape Aerialist. Nothing to do with AE's review, but iif they had given Sky Ruin Drake one more toughness, it would have made it a lot better in context. Still, it's awesome in Limited for a slow deck. Believe it or not, I'd grade Spreading Seas a little higher. It draws you a card, enables Islandwalk, and messes a little with the opponent's mana. At least compared to other cards that have a similar function, it's above the curve. Of course, if those other cards rate Fs, then D is a fair call. Like silverace99, I'm wondering if Living Tsunami is more than just a casual card. It's one of those "build around me" drawbacks that sometimes surprise you.
