raiding the dollar bins has to be one my favorite series of articles on mdv...
the whole dredge thing was a good choice...has acctually inspired me to try and build a peasant dredge deck minus the bloodbonds.,,,,its gonna be tricky...but itll be fun

I've always enjoyed Dredge and "graveyard matters" type decks. In fact, my next Raiding the Dollar Bins focuses on the graveyard yet again! Be sure to keep an eye out for it

It's good to see you're writing RtDB again, DBB. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and may even build it for casual play... with a few modifications, of course.

Well, with a collection as large as yours John, there are always changes that can be made

The lowly peons sometimes have to make due with commons and uncommons, however.

Amazing article, DBB! This actually gave me a few ideas for tweaks to a dredge deck that I am currently running. Can we say Agro Dredge instead of Recursion Dredge?

If I had more time to prepare it, I would run the modified version at tomorrows FNM.

Re: Raiding the Dollar Bins: Dredge the Night Away

I really liked this article, mainly because I love decks that focus on the graveyard. Dredge is such a sweet ability, and most of the cards can serve several purposes. I'm really tempted to pull some of the cards I have scattered throughout my decks to build something with this theme in mind now.

...oh yeah, one other thing. Imagine a Mortivore in a deck like this! Woooo!

Mortivore would be pretty awesome in this deck, I must agree.

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's not being able to have fun playing Magic because you can't pay for expensive cards. Magic should be about having a good time without spending your life savings. I'm glad you enjoyed the article.

Re: Raiding the Dollar Bins: Dredge the Night Away

One card I'm suprised wasn't mentioned here was Golgari Thug. 1) It's cheap 2) Can use Thug to retrieve a creature card you have multiple copies of in grave. Then use Bloodbond March to put the rest of them into play. I've had opponents hold back from attacking me simply because they didn't want me to graveyard trigger the Thug.

Another cheap rare would be Leyline of the Void. Maybe not maindeck but definately in sideboard against other "graveyard matters" decks.
