My opinions on the cards greatly differ from your opinions. I suppose that's to be expected.

Giant Duskwasp is way better than a C.

Re: First Impressions: Planar Chaos - Part 4.

Another great article, glad Green finally got some great cards...

Fungal Behemoth is basically a SIMIC card, and that's about it.....eh....

"Blocks Mirri once....."

You mean the cursed cat, that has fear? .....Yeah ok... that 3/3 flier was GREEN!

Hunting Wilds to me isn't THAT great, it's definitly late game, 8 mana, eh only cause green has accel that I would use this card...but in a game, where do you pull 8 mana in early game in limited, you might be dead before you got enough mana eh?

Utopia vowel should get at least a C+ at the very least.

Wild Pair + Timbermane was a joke right? Cause....the other one would tap the original....Derrr errrrr silly...

The Essence warden goes great in thallid decks, and is a nice life-gain....definitly a B- at least.

Healing Salve was and still is a great card in Boros Wins....maybe some decks don't use it, but it saves a creature, or gets you that life for a searing meditation....:O it's a good card, now that it is in green, well it isn't as useful in green....but it is damage prevention and more life gain in green.

These are all my first impressions of these cards as well, not my omg i know how to use it....after fiddling with my cards for hours, as if i did have an idea, it came immediately...

Still a great article, and I can't wait for the red of this....WHoot, The ENd? OH NO! *cries*

Well Great article so far, great first impressions, the drake is used in MGA, with might of old krosa, and what not....that isn't my first impression, at first I didn't like it either...

Mirri the Cursed doesn't have fear. It has flying, first strike, haste and a +1/+1 ability; but not fear.

We believe that he'll be re-doing this series with a more well rounded set of eyes to the set know knowning what he knows...

So for those who disagree with his rulings (believe me there's a couple where I thought he was insane, hell, I still think he's been more Izzet then since he left and returned) deal with it and move on, when he redoes the article then blow up a storm, until then, sit on your hands...

Flash is worth the two mana on a curiosity, since you are guaranteed to draw a card. At sorcery speed, your opponent knows what to block/take care of.

Re: First Impressions: Planar Chaos - Part 4.

@mogg: yeah dang, I knew mirri had a lot of abilities but I thought it being turned to black had fear, instead it had flying that I got them mixed up with evasion wise, thanks for that.

@AZ: I know, I was comparing my first impressions with his, that I thought a few cards "AT FIRST GLANCE" were better then he thinks. I'm not insulting his opinion, merely comparing mine as modest as possible to his.

@raine, I'm gonna agree that draw in blue with flash is worth 2 mana a good amount of the time. Although a green draw is rather nice, and with trample being in many green creatures .... I don't think it will be Used heavily, but just another first impression with that.

You are out of your mind. LOL It took way too much energy to sit and do six articles and read and respond to each card the first time.

The article series is intended to jerk out my First Impression of something. It is what I first think when I first see something. I don't want to go back and give you my second opinion of something, that is just... welll, it what we all know as fact at that point. It is funnier to look at a Skuling Ghost and say.. what the hell are they smoking, and then find out 3 weeks later that it is in everyones deck. Yea, so I was wrong...

But remember always when reading these articles, I wrote them all in one sitting, back when the official Planar Chaos spoiler was released. I could not get them to Streetz, but I did not modify them either. As a matter of fact, there were quite a few cards, Wild Pair is a good example, where I was really high on a card, and then after attempting to use it, realized that it is not as practical as I first envisioned. Wait until you get to my White article and see how many cards got good reviews from me. I never saw Sulfer Elemental being as popular as it has become. It should be a sideboard card, instead it is a mainsaple in UR control decks, which makes most of white creatures nearly unplayable.

Having said all of that, I welcome your comments and encourage your discussions regarding my First Impressions
