Reserved List Visual Spoilers
Home ] Up ] Next ]

What is the reserved list?
The following information has been quoted from www.wizards.com.

Reserved Cards
Reserved cards will never be printed again in a functionally identical form. A card is considered functionally identical to another card if it has the same card type, subtypes, abilities, mana cost, power, and toughness. No cards will be added to the reserved list in the future. No cards from the Mercadian Masques set and later sets will be reserved. In consideration of past commitments, however, no cards will be removed from this list. The exclusion of any particular card from the reserved list doesn't indicate that there are any plans to reprint that card.

Non-English Cards
The reprint policy applies to both English and non-English cards.

Special-Purpose Reprints
All policies described in this document apply only to non-premium, tournament-legal Magic cards. Wizards of the Coast has and may continue to print special versions of cards not meant for regular game play, such as oversized cards.

A visual spoiler for all of the cards that Wizards of the Coast won't ever reprint. Nice to look at when new sets are being speculated.Revisions to the Reserved List Page...
5/15/05 - It seems a lot of people are viewing this page each month.  Why... I don't know.  But, because of this I have had to revise it a bit so that it doesn't soak up so much of MDV's bandwidth each month.  I have separated the thumbnail images into categories, like Pre-Ice Age, Ice Age Block.. and so on.  I hope this helps MDV's BW as well as offer you quicker access to whatever section you are looking through.  There are buttons at the top of the page to link you to each section.  Enjoy!  ~Streetz~

7/19/02 - Wizards of the Coast revised the Reprint Policy and announced it today.  Randy Buehler in Latest Developments wrote the article.  Click on the above link to find out the changes and some of the reasons behind this change as mentioned by Randy.  ~Streetz~  Also check out this article talking about the proposed change before it actually happened (3/1/02) by Randy as well.
